The OpenCar SDK

At the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Mazda Infotainment system for the 2014 Mazda3 was featured as part of the “OpenCar SDK” for app development. It was announced that “Mazda has partnered with OpenCar to develop an App platform enabling developers to create automotive grade apps without having to have knowledge about Mazda's requirements with regard to safety and HMI.”

Here is what the Simulator looks like:

The website has an SDK with that simulator which will help you make APPs for the car, they actually have a hello world example in the How To section, but you need to register to see it so I took a screen shot here:

For windows it gives you a copy of Ubuntu or something and you run it in Virtual Box…
